Michael Canaday and Associates, ASLA, professionally registered in Alabama and Florida, is a small landscape architecture/ site planning firm located in Dothan, Alabama. A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Michael received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Florida in 1973. Upon graduation, he practiced landscape architecture at the Metropolitan Dade County Park and Recreation Department in Miami, Florida.

Setting up offices in Dothan in 1978, Michael concentrates his work on landscape development plans, planting and irrigation plans, layout and grading plans, construction details, specifications and cost estimates, and site monitoring. Projects range from intimate residential spaces to large public gardens. In Dothan, Michael’s work is enjoyed in numerous locations with Dothan Area Botanical Gardens and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine being two of his more notable endeavors.
